Edith PEREZ
Edith A. Perez, MD, is an internationally recognized cancer specialist and translational researcher. She serves in national leadership roles, including group vice chair of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and has contributed to major initiatives within the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the National Cancer Institute.
Author of more than 700 publications, Dr. Perez is a frequent invited speaker at leading scientific meetings worldwide. She sits on multiple editorial boards and has spearheaded numerous clinical trials of targeted therapies for breast cancer. Her research focuses on genetic biomarkers driving disease development, aggressiveness, and treatment response, with the goal of accelerating access to personalized therapies.
Dr. Perez earned her MD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and her BS in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
